Freestone County, Texas Obituaries [Betsy Leigh (Trenckman) Turchi] Fairfield Recorder December 23, 2010 BETSY LEIGH TURCHI Memorial services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Fairfield for Betsy Leigh Turchi, 51, of Streetman who died Sunday, Dec. 19 at ETMC Fairfield Hospital surrounded by her family after a bitter battle with breast cancer. The body was cremated. Mrs. Turchi, also known as Dr. Betsy Trenckman, D.V.M. was born on January 28, 1959 in Houston to Ernest Henry Trenchmann and Marilyn Brooks. She grew up in Bellville where she later graduated from high school and then attended and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science in 1981. Mrs. Turchi then attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a D.V.M. degree in 1984. She married Keith Turchi in 1984. Mrs. Turchi was member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Mexia. She loved and cared for many animals and took pride in her treatment of them. Mrs. Turchi was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband; son Ryan Turchi; daughter Jane Turchi, all of Streetman; Sister Cindy McNamara and husband Harold of Fulshear; and brother Brooks Trenkmann and wife Eileen of Lavita, CO.
