Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder newspaper June 25, 2009 Frances (Sinclair) Tyler Funeral services will be held Friday for Frances Tyler, 94, who died Monday, June 15, in Manassas, Virginia. Mrs. Tyler was born to John Clark and Elfleda Sallee Sinclair in North Litchfield, Illinois on Aug. 20, 1914. She lived in Houston for many years where she owned her own business, selling yarn and teaching knitting and crochet. Mrs. Tyler also owned and operated a beauty shop and doll hospital. In the mid 1980's, she moved to Teague and continued to work from home. Mrs. Tyler spent her free time traveling and camping with her husband. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Teague and an active participant of the Teague Senior Citizens Center. After experiencing difficulties with her health, she moved to Virginia to live with her son. Services will be held at 1 p.m. this Friday at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston. Mrs. Tyler is survived by her son, David Tyler of Fairfax, Virginia; and cousins, Aline Jones and husband Walter of Houston, Susan Helmcamp and husband Gary of Buffalo, Scott Mouton and wife Millie of Buffalo, and Roy Mouton of Houston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reed Tyler. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
