Nov. 26, 1955 — July 13, 2001

JEWETT — Services for Rickie Lee Vassar, 45, of Teague, Texas, are set for 3
p.m. Saturday at Ricks Funeral Home Chapel in Jewett.

Rita Burleson, will minister of the Living Word Church, will officiate. Private
burial will be in Little Flock Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Saturday at the
funeral home.

Mr. Vassar died Friday in the Teague Nursing Home.

He was born in Houston and lived in Teague for 15 years. He formerly lived in
Jewett and Groesbeck, Texas. He was a mail room clerk for the U. S. Postal
Service and was a member of the Teague Church of Christ.

Survivors include his father, J.D. Vassar of Limestone County; two sisters and
brothers-in-law, Marsha and Don Seals of Jewett and Peggy and Ray Kazmir of San
Antonio; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jesse Vassar of Teague and Glenn and
Marilyn Vassar of DeSoto, Texas; three nephews, a niece and numerous cousins.
