Morna Beth Crowley Vassar
May 18, 1935 — May 18, 2001

JEWETT — Graveside services for Morna Beth Crowley Vassar, 66, of Jewett are
set for 3 p.m. Sunday at Little Flock Cemetery in Jewett.

The Rev. George Ibarra of Living Word World Church in Groesbeck will officiate. 

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ricks Funeral Home in
Jewett.

Mrs. Vassar died Friday at her home.

She was born in New Mexico and lived in Jewett 25 years. She was a Baptist. She
was an assistant therapist at the Mexia State School and also worked for
Southwestern Bell as an operator and as a home health care nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Vassar.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mace Macy of Houston; a
son and daughter-in-law, Raymond “Rusty” and Tonya Vassar of Jewett; her
parents, Pete Bernard Crowley of LaGrange and Johnnie Faye Crowley of Teague; a
brother, James Crowley of Houston; two brothers-in-law, James Vassar of
Henderson and J.D. Vassar of Jewett; four grandchildren, a great-grandchild and
numerous nieces and nephews.
