Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle October 25, 2007 issue JESSE DEAN VASSAR Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Dean Vassar, 53, were held on Saturday, October 20, 2007, at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett, Texas. Bro. Jimmy Petty officiated and interment followed the service at Little Flock Cemetery. Mr. Vassar Passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2007, after a near twenty-year battle with Huntington’s Disease at the Manor Nursing Home in Mexia, Texas. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and was a big fan of NASCAR. He always rooted for the Earnhardt’s to win the races. Before his illness, Jesse loved to play dominos and go deer hunting. He always admired fast cars, especially his 1957 Chevrolet. He is survived by his father J.D. Vassar of Jewett; his sister Marsha Seals and husband Don of Jewett; his brother Lloyd Glen Vassar and wife Lynn of Dallas; his nephews Tyler Seals, Bobby Kazmir and Timmy Kazmir; numerous other relatives and friends. Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home of Jewett was in charge of the arrangements.
