Tonja Carol Vaughan

Funeral services were held Monday for Tonja Carol Vaughan, 55, of Fairfield, 
who died May 7 at her home.

Ken Pruitt officiated at the service, held at First Baptist Church. Interment 
followed at St. Elmo Cemetery in the Winkler/St. Elmo community. Visitation was 
Sunday at Capps Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Vaughan was born June 20, 1954 in Fairfield to parents Thomas and Blanche 
Cannon Allen. She was a 1972 graduate of Fairfield high school. On December 19, 
1979, she married David Vaughan in Fairfield.

Last employed with Eagle Insurance of Fairfield, Mrs. Vaughan was a member of 
First Baptist Church and the Pickett Riding Club of Streetman. She was known 
for her love of her horses.

Mrs. Vaughan was preceded in death by her father. Pallbearers were Greg Allen, 
Kalop Allen, Jimmy Allen, Steve Allen, Buck Bonner and Mark Chavers.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband David of Fairfield; her mother, 
Blanche Allen of Fairfield; two children, Tona Lowery and husband Eddie of 
Streetman; Barry Vaughan of Streetman;

Brother, Tony Allen and wife Jan of Fairfield; three grandchildren, Tristyn and 
Cortney Kahrs, Skylar Kirkpatrick; nieces and nephews, Greg Allen, Bessie Lamb, 
Quincy Jones and Kalop Allen.
