Matthew Wayne Virgel


A special worship service was held Tuesday for Matthew Wayne Virgel, 22, of 
Wolfe City who died Sunday, March 15.

Mr. Virgel was born in Sulphur Springs on August 14, 1986.

The service was held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Family Fellowship of 
Greenville. Mr. Virgel's family held a private burial.

He is survived by his fiancé, Lauren Ragsdale of Wolfe City; parents, Terry and 
Vicki Virgel of Sulphur Springs and Shaunda and Joe Knight of Greenville; 
siblings, Jodi Virgel of Tyler, Lynn Knight and Joey Knight of McKinney, Lacey 
Kendall of Sulphur Springs and Brian Virgel of Greenville; grandparents, Joann 
and Dean Harrison of Greenville, Jackie and Mary Boles, Pete and Patricia 
Virgel, all of Sulphur Springs, and Bob and Jimmie Fulton of Greenville; great-
grandparents, Imogene Boles of Cooper, Homer Blevins, Doug and Glenn Martin, all 
of Sulphur Springs, and Martha Harrison of Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to the Matthew Wayne Virgel Scholarship Fund which has 
been designated to assist young men and women choosing to pursue an education 
that follows the Lord in full time service.

This fund is administered by the Family Fellowship of Greenville at 401 Division 
Street, Greenville, TX 75401.
