Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder June 2008 Christopher Ross Waldrip Funeral services were held last week for Christopher Ross Waldrip, 20, of Donie who died Monday, June 16, in an automobile accident. Mr. Waldrip was born in Fairfield on July 24, 1987, to Stan and Gayle Waldrip. He graduated from Teague high school in 2006 and was active in athletics participating in football, basketball, and baseball. Mr. Waldrip was a member Eight Avenue Baptist Church in Teague. He was also a member of Freestone 4H and Teague FFA where he began showing steers and goats in the Freestone County Fair at the age of 10. Services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at the First Baptist Church in Teague with Steve Cowart officiating. Interment followed at Post Oak Cemetery near Donie. Mr. Waldrip is survived by parents Stan & Gayle Waldrip; sister Sarah Waldrip; paternal grandparents Melvin and Joy Waldrip, all of Donie; maternal grandparents Herman and Wanda Pollock of Mexia; uncles Ronny Waldrip and wife Mary of Corsicana, Tommy Waldrip and wife Anna of Donie, Larry Blasingame and wife Dawn of Dallas, Gary Blasingame and wife Gwen of Santa Fe, and David Blasingame of Saginaw; aunt Gayla Long and husband Buddy of Dew; great uncles Ross Waldrip and wife Shelma of Donie and Glen Inderman and wife Shirley of Frisco; and great aunt Jean Inmon of East Bernard. He is preceded in death by his great uncle, Jay Inmon. Memorials may be made to Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague. Arrangements were made by Bowers Funeral Home of Teague.
