Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Corsicana Daily Sun - July 14, 2004 edition: Irene (Anderson) Walker Irene Walker, 96, of Streetman passed away Monday, July 12, 2004, in Mexia. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Corley Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Corley Funeral Chapel with Brother Bill Honea officiating. Interment will follow at St. Elmo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Lee, Rick Hogan, Michael Hook, Kameron Hogan, Billy Massey and Jim Howard. Mrs. Walker was born Nov. 14, 1907, in St. Elmo to Boone and Ila Darden Anderson, lifelong Freestone County residents. She was a homemaker who resided in the Winkler/St. Elmo area all of her life except for the past nine months that she had lived at the Wortham Rehab Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Walker; parents, Boone and Ila Anderson; twin sister, Inez Lee; and sister, Julia Whitlock. Survivors include her nieces, Mary Alice Lee of Wortham, Helen Douglas of Longmont, Colo., and Carole Long of Levelland; nephews, Clyde Blair of Henderson, Nev., and Curtis Blair of Brea, Calif.; great-nieces, Karen Hogan of Grapevine and Kimberly Hook of Euless; great-nephew, Kevin Lee of Streetman; great-great-nephews, Kameron Hogan of Grapevine and Kaleb Hook of Euless; and sister-in-law, Louise Blair of Lubbock.
