Janet Gayle Walker
August 19, 1961 - May 6, 2012

Janet Walker, 50, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at her residence near the Butler 
area of Freestone County. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mrs. 
Walker was born August 19, 1961 to parents Odies Allen and Jerrie McDaniel 
Walker in Alabama. She had been a Freestone County resident since 1989 moving 
from the Houston area. Janet was preceded in death by a son Matthew and a 
brother, Johnny Walker. 

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Frank Owen; her mother and step-
father, Mrs. Jerrie Newman and Troy Newman of Palestine. Two sons, Roy and 
Matt Owen of Butler; two step-children, Frank Owen, Jr. of Butler; Karen Harris 
of Neches; a brother, Jeff Walker and wife Julie of Palestine; a step-brother, 
Chad Newman and wife Amanda of Palestine; two step-grandchildren; Darryl Harris
III and Cash Harris.
