A private burial was held Wednesday at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas for Howard Floyd Walters, 73, of Lanely who died June 1 at his residence.

Mr. Walters was born August 22, 1937 in Columbus, OH to Creo Dale Walters and Frances Elva Heldenbrand Walters.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1962 and was a retired elevator mechanic.
