Died-Miss Mary Ward, whose critical condition was mentioned last week, died at 
her mother's residence north of town, Wednesday night after a painful illness 
of some weeks. Death though expected and gradually seemed more inevitable each 
week makes a final separation and bereavement nonetheless sad and painful than 
when sudden or not anticipated. Thus it was in the case of Miss Ward. Though for 
some time she lingered but the death was a sore bereavement for the aged mother 
and family. The deceased was an excellent young lady, pleasant and agreeable, a 
loving sister and a fond and dutiful daughter. Her remains were interred in 
Fairfield Cemetery yesterday evening.
