Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mildred (Williamson) Ward December 28, 1932 - June 19, 2016 After a long illness, Mildred Ward went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2016 in Fairfield. Mrs. Ward was born December 28, 1932 in Bedias, TX to parents Pierce O. and Mildred Bradbury Williamson; she attended Carl Wunsche High School in Spring, TX. On August 5, 1950 she married Fairfield native Billy Jack (Bill) Ward where they celebrated God’s covenant for almost 66 years. Much of this time they lived in Houston where they raised two sons, John F. Ward of Houston and Jesse Alan Ward. In 1981 she and Bill retired and returned home to Fairfield. Mildred or Aunt Mickie as she was known by so many of her nieces and nephews was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, cook, and homemaker. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed singing in the choir and loved the Lord. She was a member of the World Wide Church of God for 40 years and First United Methodist of Fairfield for nine years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Alan Ward; her sister Lyndel and a granddaughter, Jamie Left to cherish her memory is her husband Bill of Fairfield; three nieces, Rebecca Blundell and husband Jimmy of Douglass, TX; Denise Allemang and Susan Doylene Brady of Etoile, TX.
