Frank Ward

Frank Ward, 90, of Fairfield, passed away September 19, 2009.

He was born December 27, 1918 in Fairfield to John F. (Doc) and Theodocia Speed 
Ward.

Mr. Ward was a welder by trade, farmer and rancher. Next to Jesus and his 
family he loved his cows and to save money.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Lela Gordon Ward, parents John
F. (Doc) and Docia Ward, brothers Jake Ward, Earnest Severn Ward, Odell Ward 
and Jesse Ward, and sister Mary Joyce Ward.

He is survived by wife Faye Self Ward, son Willie F. Ward and wife Linda, 
daughters Shirley Ivison Hall and husband Maurice, and Anita Anderson and 
husband Bradley;

Brothers Billy Jack Ward and wife Mildred, and Luke Ward and wife Wanda, all of 
Fairfield and sisters Vivian Parker of Angleton, and Sue Ward of Mesquite;

Eight grandchilden, 37 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

Visitation was Monday at Fairfield Christian Center. Services were Tuesday, 
September 22, 2009 at Fairfield Christian Center with Buddy Turner officating.

Burial followed at Lake Chapel cemetery. Pallbears were James Ivison, Darrell
Ivison, Barry Ivison, Johnny Ward, Cory Ward, Hammond Sessions, Meredith
Lindsay, and Craig Schuman.

Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Self, Chris Self, Tommy Campbell, Roy Peterson,
Jimmy Sherber, Jesse Jones, and John Miller.

A memorial book is available.

Arrangements were made by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Fairfield.
