Betty Jean Washington
[Apr 16, 1934 to Feb 24, 1988]


Funeral services were held for Betty Jean Washington, 53, of Fairfield will
be Saturday at 1 at Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. William 
Johnson, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairfield Baptist 
Cemetery.

Mrs. Washington died Wednesday at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 16, 1934, in Glenmora, Calif.  She was a telephone operator
for Contel Telephone Co. for 19 years.  She was a member of Fairfield 
Missionary Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Morris Washington of Fairfield; her mother,
Mrs. Bertha Lezine of Los Angeles, Calif.; step-mother, Mrs. Ola Mae Bradley
of Glenmora, Calif; two daughters, Mrs. Brenda McQueen of Los Angeles, Calif.
and Louise Brown of Fort Worth; two sons, Morris Washington Jr. and Odie 
Washington, both of Fairfield; one sister, Mrs. Josie Bradley of Glenmora, 
Calif; three grandchildren and a number of other friends and relatives.

Pallbearers are James Griffin, Harman Griffin, Billy Joe Jones, Richard 
Durham, George Durham and James Small.

Dorsey-Keatts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
