Mexia Daily News - Feb. 25, 2005 edition W. A. Watson FAIRFIELD - Funeral services for W. A. (Willie) Watson, 74, of Fairfield, will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock in New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Sammie McGuire, pastor. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery with Military Funeral Honors. Moore's Angelic Funeral Home of Teague is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Watson, who died Sunday, Feb. 20, at his residence, was born July 18, 1930, in Fairfield. He was a member of New Zion MBC and was a partner in Real Estate. Mr. Watson also was a retired construction worker with Hartin & Martin Construction Company. He served in the U.S. Air Force from December of 1948 until July of 1952, and was honorably discharged. Surviving are his wife, Lola Watson of Fairfield; three sisters - Mary E. Allen, Willie H. Barker and Annett Woodard, all of Dallas; a brother and sister-in-law, Isaiah and Ruby Watson of Dallas; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Joe Watson, Chris Barker, Billy Barker, Jerry Woodard, Anthony Woodard and Kenneth Carter.
