Walter was the son of Annanias Weaver and his wife Julia Rebecca Richards] The Fairfield Recorder - Friday, January 25, 1901 Page: 5 A Promising Young Man Dead Mr. Walter E. Weaver, of Dew, died last week at Yoakum, Texas, after a long illness of typhoid fever. The deceased was a son of Mr. A. Weaver, and was a most excellent young man and Christian gentleman. A graduate of the University at Georgetown, he selected the profession of teaching, and had specially qualified himself for it. He was one of the principal teachers of the city school at Yoakum, and was a most promising young man. The only son of idolizing parents, his death was a crushing blow to them, that shattered the fond hopes of his future which had been the one dream in their lives. Sincerely will the friends of the family sympathize with the sorely bereaved parents who feel as only those can feel who have had a similar shadow to come over their home. The death of such young men as Walter Weaver is a loss not only to their county, but to their State as well.
