Fairfield Recorder - Friday, March 19, 1926 MR. AND MRS. JONES LOOSE INFANT GIRL The four day old infant girl of Mr. & Mrs. W. E. JONES, after only a few hours illness died last Sunday. Burial was in the Fairfield Cemetery. We rejoiced with our friends and their happiness over the arrival of this baby girl at their home. They were so proud of it, being their first girl and we sorrow with them in their bereavement in its loss. ---------------------------------------------- Fairfield Recorder - Friday, April 30, 1926 OUR BABY Oliie Fay JONES, born Mar. 11, 1926, died Mar. 14, 1926, infant girl of Mr. & Mrs. W. E. JONES. A baby girl came to our home one day and was the pride and joy of our hearts. We planned oh so much to keep her with us, but soon she went away. So tiny, so perfect, so sweet and so pure. She was just as we would have her to be. God had just lent her to us for only four days as you see. She was a tiny sweet bud from heaven above, oh how our did cherish and love, and alto we kept her just a little while we had seen her through childhood to cheer and smile, little did we think her was not here, for soon she grew ill and angels drew near, we tried oh so hard to keep her to love, but god knew best and took her above, and then very quietly we dressed her like a doll, laid her in the tiny casket, for she was with god, we took her then to the cemetery near and placed her away while friends lingered there, the memory of her will always be sweet, our little baby girl that we could not keep, we had a little treasure once, she was our joy and pride, we loved her oh perhaps to well, for soon she slept and died, all is dark within our dwelling, lonely all hearts today for the one we loved so dearly, has forever passed away.
