John Westbrook
April 9, 1918 — Nov. 21, 2002

ROCKDALE — Graveside services for John Westbrook, 84, of Fairfield and formerly
of Rockdale are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Bill Whaley of the Murray Street Church of Christ in Rockdale and the Revs. Jim
Pritchard and James Pritchard will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in
Rockdale.

Mr. Westbrook died Thursday at the Fairway Health Care Residence in Fairfield.

He was born in Milano and lived in Fairfield since 1999. He worked 40 years as
an auto parts salesman for the Gaither Ford dealership in Rockdale, retiring in
1986. He was a member of the Murray Street Church of Christ and was a lifetime
member of the Masonic Lodge. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Westbrook of Fairfield; a son and
daughter-in-law, Gary and Eileen Westbrook of Missouri City; a daughter,
Carolyn Varley of Fairfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Carrie Mae
Westbrook of Austin; a sister, Alma Roland of Baytown; five grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
