Obituary of John J. "Johnnie" Whatley

  Jan. 23 - Johnnie Whatley died at the home of his mother, Saturday at eleven 
o'clock.  Johnnie had been in bad health for the past ten years, and has suffered
beyond expression, but bore his affliction patiently. He was a young man and a 
true Christian, being a member of the Baptist church for a number of years. He
was married to Miss Rosa Marberry about three years ago. He was loved by all who
knew him and leaves a host of relatives and friends who will grieve to learn of
his death.
