The family will receive visitors from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 31, at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Teague. Interment will follow at Dew Cemetery. Brother Ray Grissett and Brother Carl Clark will officiate. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Charles David White, Michael Lancaster, Larry McCeig, Kevin Davis, Kris Davis, Lee White, Yale St. Clair, Ricky Lancaster, Michael McCeig, Jason White and Christopher White. Mrs. White was born June 2, 1917, in Dew. She was a homemaker and loved attending church at Corinth Baptist Church where she was a member. She loved her family and children and they were her life. She also loved gardening. She is survived by her four sons, Charles Royce White and wife Gloria of Dew, Edwin Ronald White and wife Joy of Longview, A.L. “Butch” White and wife Betty of Mexia and Lynn White of Dew; five daughters, Sybil White Lancaster and husband Paul of Lexington, Bonnie White McCeig and husband Dale of Fairfield, Bobbie Jean White Davis and husband Billy Wayne of Concord, Sharon White St. Clair of Dew and Dianne White Neal and husband Johnny of Dew; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Thelma Black Norman of Franklin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Edwin White; parents, Robert and Maymie Black; brother, Bascom Black; sister, Maurine Lee; and two grandsons, Jeremy Neal and Jeffrey Neal.
