Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder - September 3, 2009 Wymon Earl "Papa Smurf" Wiley Funeral services were held Aug. 29 for Wymon Earl "Papa Smurf" Wiley, who died Aug. 21 at Central Texas Veteran's Health Care System in Temple. Viewing and a wake were held at Moore's Angelic Funeral Home. Rev. Nathaniel Bedford and minister Kelvin Hodges of Dallas officiated at the service, held at Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church in Groesbeck. Apostle Charles E. Leach of Dallas was eulogist. Interment was at Lone Star Cemetery of Groesbeck. Mr. Wiley was born Sept. 7, 1949 in Groesbeck to Coolidge Wiley and Pearl Annabelle Boyd Wiley. He was employed by the Post Office in Dallas and had returned to Groesbeck to live. Surviving Mr. Wiley are his sons Auntjuan Monteal Wiley, Dallas, and Jeremy Dewayne Nyagoko, Groesbeck; his brother Melvin Lee Wiley, Ft. Worth; Sisters Pearlie Mae Amos and husband, Billie, and Helen Faye Harris and husband, William, all of Groesbeck, special friend: Clarisa Milligan of Austin, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Moore's Angelic Funeral Home of Teague is serving the Wiley Family.
