Gilmore Williams
July 3, 1922 — Feb. 16, 2004

MADISONVILLE — Services for Gilmore Williams, 81, of Donie are set for 2 p.m.
Friday at Zion Methodist Church in Iola.

The Revs. Don Brown and Kenneth Byrd will officiate. Burial will be in Zion
Cemetery in Iola.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J.M. Day Funeral Home Chapel in
Madisonville.

Mr. Williams died Monday in Bryan.

He was born in Birmingham, Ala., and was the owner of Studio Gilmore in Austin.
He founded the photographic department for the Austin Model Project in 1968. 

Mr. Williams was a lifetime member of Texas Professional Photographic
Association and a past president. He was a member of Zion Methodist Church in
Iola.

Survivors include his wife, Jean (Wren) Williams of Donie; four brothers-in-law
and three sisters-in-law, Coree and Doris Wren of Washington, John Darby Jr. of
Iola, Troy and LaRue Wren of Donie and Betty and Bevard Keele of Pearland; 11
nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other
relatives.
