Bess Allen (Beck) Williams 
(April 18, 1922 - March 12, 2012) 

Funeral services for Ms. Bess Allen Williams were held on Wednesday, March 14, 
2012, at 2:00p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home. Rev. Donnie Holt & Rev. John Goodwin 
officiated. Interment followed the services at Post Oak Cemetery near Donie.

Ms. Williams passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012, at her residence in Teague.

She was born in Donie on April 18, 1922 and lived in Donie and later Teague all 
of her life. Ms. Williams worked for the Jones Café in Teague for many years and 
later worked for the Mexia State School for over ten years. She enjoyed working 
in her yard and visiting rural cemeteries all over the area. Ms. Williams put 
countless hours in taking care of the grounds at Post Oak Cemetery during her 
lifetime. She was a regular lunch attendee at the Senior Citizen Center in 
Teague and enjoyed being able to visit with people. Ms. Williams was a lifelong 
member of the Donie Methodist Church.

She is survived by one sister-in-law, Mary Dee Williams of Donie; five nieces, 
Patricia McGee and Mary Izola Shook of Teague, Nancy Holchak of Tomball, Barbara 
Warren & husband Mike, and Vicki Clark & husband Mark all of Beaumont; five 
nephews, Jimmy Nanny & wife Carolyn, Joe Ed Nanny & wife Cathy all of Teague, 
Roger Dale Williams & wife Jo of Lewisville, Joe Allen Williams & wife Robin of 
Waco, and Jerry Neil Williams of Woodville; numerous great-nieces and great 
nephews, other relatives and many friends. Ms. Williams was preceded in death 
by her parents, Joe & Amy Williams; one sister, Lois Nanny; three brothers, 
Dink Williams, J.C. Williams, and Bill Williams; one nephew, Johnny Williams; 
and her very special friend, Phyllis Jones.
