Freestone County, Texas Obits [Laura Elizabeth Willard d/o Kirt Littleton Willard] FAIRFIELD RECORDER, August 1915 Obituary Laura, only daughter of Kirt and Nancy Willard, was born Aug. 4, 1913 and died near Palestne, June 17, 1915, after an illness of about ten days of cholera infannum. Yes, little Laura's bright blue eyes are closed forever; that sweet smile will nevermore play on her face on earth, but she is in heaven with little brother, Grady. Little Laura was bright and lovable child and a pet of almost everyone who knew her. All was done for her that loving hearts and willing hands could do. But is spite of all that could be done to save the life of the little sufferor, she closed her eyes in death. Her prattling voice will be heard in this world no more, butin the heavenly home, in accents clear, her voice will join the heavenly choiristers in praise of Him who said, "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom Heaven." This young life opened as a beautiful rose and then perished leaving the fragrance of a flower from the garden of God. The memory of the one year, ten months and thirteen days spent in the earthly home,is to the sorrowing ones left behind, sweeter than life, and will be stronger than death. Dear parents, your angel baby is gone, but not forever. Be faithful and some sweet day on the sunlit hills of the heavenly home, you will meet your precious child with the King in his beauty. A FRIEND, C.
