Dr. Jim Gooch officiating under direction of Capps Memorial Chapel, Fairfield. Ms. Willard passed away Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Fairview Healthcare Residence in Fairfield after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born Nov. 30, 1931, in Groves and lived in Houston and Tyler prior to moving back to Fairfield two years ago. She was a nurses' aide for many years and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Judson Daniel Davis; her parents, Wallace Rodney and Maggie (Sheppard) Navarre; three brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include her former husband, James E. Willard of Fairfield; son, James David Willard and wife Susan of Conroe; daughters, Sissy Awalt and husband Warren and Linda A. Davis and Warren, all of Fairfield. Her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive her.
