James Edwin Willard - Fairfield

James Edwin Willard left for his heavenly home on October 15, 2011. He was born
October 16, 1928 to James Calvin and Lucille May Willard.  He was raised in 
Fairfield, and after a long career with Sabine Towing and District 2-MEBA 
shipping companies, he returned to live his retirement years in Fairfield. 
James was a 50-plus year member of the Aldine Masonic Lodge No.1412.

James was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved grandson Judson Daniel 
Davis, and the mother of his children, Deloris Ellen Navarre Willard. He is 
survived by his children, James David Willard and wife Susan, Sissy Awalt and 
husband Warren, and Linda Davis and husband Warren. In addition, he is survived 
by his grandchildren, Chad Westover, Kelli Moore and husband Bubba, David 
Willard and wife Jodi, Ben Davis and wife Regan; and his step-grandchildren 
Bobbye Gonzales and husband Charlie, David Awalt and wife Mary Carol, and Jeff 
Awalt and wife Futaba as well as numerous great-grandchildren and cousins.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011, at Griffin-Roughton 
Funeral Home in Fairfield. Masonic graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. 
Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at Lake Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Harry F. Moore and 
members of the Fairfield Masonic Lodge officiating. Pallbearers will be his 
grandchildren.
