Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Obituary of Carl Edwin “Pete” Willard (September 27, 1928 - January 9, 2016) Mr. Carl Edwin “Pete” Willard, age 87, of Hubbard, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Bellmead, Texas. He was born on September 27, 1928 in Wortham, Texas to Henry Cecil Willard and Anna Imogene Chausse Willard they both have preceded him in death. He attended school in Wortham, graduating from Wortham High School in 1947. He then attended Navarro Junior College as a PE major where he was active in Football, Track and a member of the “N’ club. Later on he was employed by Halliburton Services for twenty-two years, retiring on March 29, 1979. During his career with Halliburton Services he worked and travelled both stateside and overseas. He enjoyed hay farming, raising horses and cattle. He married Dorothy Cockerell Bradley on January 15, 1978. She preceded him in death on September 18, 2012. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hubbard, Texas. He is survived by his step-daughter, Debra “Debby” Bradley Hill and husband Mike of Kerens, TX and also his step-son, John Robert “Bobby” Bradley and wife Edy of Brookshire, TX; four step grandchildren, Daphne Hill Pesina and husband Rob of Desoto, TX, Bradley Hill of Kerens, TX, John Bradley and wife Mary of San Antonio, TX and Melissa Bradley Kaiser and husband Tripp of Austin, TX; six step-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Eureka Cemetery with Bro. Ricky Woodall officiating. Interment will follow in Eureka Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church of Hubbard.
