Barney O. Williams

Barney O. Williams, 77, of Austin passed away Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at a
San Marcos nursing home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel, 809 LaClede,
Waco, with the Rev. Ted Bosworth officiating. Interment will follow at Waco
Memorial Park.

Mr. Williams was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Winkler. He married Lillian J. Smithey
Oct. 16, 1954, in Mertens. He retired from the Air Force in 1966 after 20 years
of service and then worked at Bergstrom Air Force Base until 1989. He was a
member of the VFW and Onion Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian J. Williams of Austin; daughter, Penny
French and husband Rodney of Cedar Creek; son, Steven Williams and wife Angie
of Corpus Christi; sister, Beatrice Chamb of Wills Point; five grandchildren,
James, Dustin, Jennifer, Amy and Kristie; three great-grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews.
