Williams Rites To Be Conducted At Grove Island 

Last rites will be held at the Grove Island A. M. E. Church in the Grove Island 
Community Friday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Eliza Mixon Williams, who died at her home 
at 308 W. Palestine in Mexia Saturday. The Rev. C. C. Collins will officiate and 
burial will be in the Grove Island cemetery with the Dorsey-Keatts Funeral home 
in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Williams was born in Freestone County and lived 
in this area all of her life. She was a Baptist. She is survived by one 
daughter, Mrs. Ruby Faye Johnson, of Midland; one son, Wilson Johnson, of Los 
Angeles; one sister, Mrs. Mera Jackson of Coolidge; five grandchildren and five 
great grandchildren.
