Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder newspaper November 27, 2008 Neva (Penick) Williams Funeral services were held last week for Neva Penick Williams, 76, of Teague who died Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Teague Nursing Home. Mrs. Williams was born in 1932 on Feb. 17 to Roy and Sally Penick. She was a resident of Teague for over 40 years and worked as a 'Pink Lady' at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia for over 15 years. Mrs. Williams was also a member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Eighth Avenue Baptist Church with Steve Cowart officiating. Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter, Darla Adams of Teague; son, Danny Williams of Florida; granddaughters, Misty Wiley and husband Samuel of Teague and Wendy Hernandez and husband Paul of Teague; five great-grandchildren, all of Teague; brother, Jeff Penick of Bremond; and sister, Linda Birdwell and husband Ronnie of Deer Park. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Curtis Williams; daughter, Cathy Williams; and parents Roy and Sally Penick. Arrangements were made by Bowers Funeral Home of Teague.
