Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Mr. Cecil Bradford “Deak” Willis The Angelic Hosts came for Mr. Cecil Bradford “Deak” Willis, 73, on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield, Texas among loving family and devoted friends. A viewing was held Friday, March 21, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home, 406 Monroe Street, Teague, Texas 75860 with the family present from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services were at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at True Vine DOXA Center, 917 South Fairway, Fairfield, Texas 75840 with Rev. Michael Daniels, Pastor, officiating. Interment followed at Shiloh Cemetery, Oakwood, Texas. Mr. Cecil “Deak” Bradford Willis was the second of six children born to Mr. Ervin Willis and Mrs. Arra Mae Washington Willis on April 13, 1940 in Freestone County, Texas. He went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield, Texas among loving family and devoted friends. Mr. Willis grew up in Freestone County and attended Fairfield Public Schools. He was baptized in New Zion Baptist Church in the Post Oak Community at an early age. Cecil was a Deacon as well as a Mason. Mr. Willis was employed as a truck driver all of his life. Deak enjoyed watching TV Westerns and he loved to eat. He will most be remembered for his outgoing personality and talkative nature – he never met a stranger. Cecil was preceded in death by: his parents; his son: Eddie Lee Willis; and his brothers: William Woodard, Onless Willis, Joseph Willis, Ervin Willis, Jr., A.W. Willis, and Travis Willis. Those left to cherish his memory most are: his sons: Freddie Lee Willis, Fairfield, TX; Rickie Roland Willis and wife Willie Mae, and Bradford Wayne Willis, all of Mexia, TX; his daughters: Cecil Alondale Jones and husband Ronnie; Valrico, FL; Iva Hope Willis, Dallas, TX; Betty Tatum, and Diamond Willis, both of Mexia, TX; his sisters: Demple Wortham, Phoenix, AZ; Collie Mae Hunter and husband Eugene, Fort Worth, TX; Robbie Nell Henry and Shirlene Green, both of Garland, TX; his brother Pervie Woodard, Fairfield, TX; his grandchildren: Derek Forge, Dallas, TX; Anthony Forge, Wortham, TX; Frederick Eatmon, Dallas, TX; Bryan Jones and wife Emmie, Des Moines, IA; Jahreese Jordan, Sr., Valrico FL; Edrick Willis, Justin Washington and wife Laquita, and Rickie D.
