Richland Man 
Killed When Auto
Struck By Train

W. T. Winstead, 67, of Richland, was killed when his automobile was struck by a
Southern Pacific Railroad train at a street intersection in Richland Saturday
morning.

Investigating officers said the car was dragged about half a mile by the
locomotive before the train could be stopped.

Mr. Winstead was dead on arrival at Corsicana hospital.

Funeral services were held in Richland Monday afternoon.

Survivors include his wife of Richland; a daughter, Mrs. James Goolsby of
Wortham; one other daughter, several grandchildren and other relatives.
