Freestone County, Texas Obits Fairfield Recorder newspaper March 10, 1899 edition "Obituary The death anel visited the home of L. H. and Birdie Withrow and bore little Bennie May away on its snow white wings to a home where no storm clouds rise. Weep not, young parents, your little one has just gone before you. Death is a sure call; it takes the young as well as the old. Prepare yourselves to meet your sweet little babe. You know not what hour your summons will come. Make good use of time if you want eternal life. Yesterday cannot be recalled, tomorrrow cannot be secured, today is only thine which once lost may be lost forever. Let each thought be pure and sincere. There is an empty cradle in your home, there will be a vacant chair some day. We deeply mourn the loss of little Bennie May and feel that her place can never be filled. But though lost to sight, to memory ever dear. Children, may God give you strength each day in house and home to practice forbearance sweetly and scatter kind words and loving deeds, trusting in God completely. Hope for hte best, prepare for the worst, take what God sends, be content with the lot that God has marked out for you; love, honor and obey Him in all things, and your last day will be as peaceful and happy as Bennie May's.
