Freestone County, Texas Obituaries R. R. "Woody" Woodall R. R. "Woody" Woodall, 88, peacefully passed into our Lord's loving arms on Saturday, December 28, 2013, with his loving family at his side. He was the best husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather anyone could have ever had. Woody retired as manager of Republic Supply Company in 1975 after 30+ years and became self employed as an oilfield consultant and a self employed gauger. He retired again in 1999. Woody was born September 27, 1925 in Freestone County, Texas to Claude F Woodall Sr. and Evie Izetta Randall Woodall. He was the middle child, of seven siblings. one brother and four sisters that preceded him in death along with his parents. Woody married Pauline (Franklin) Woodall on October 30, 1944 in Benavides, Texas. Last October 30 they celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary,. Woody was a lifetime member of S. B. Mosser Masonic Lodge 912 in Alice, Texas serving 3 terms as Worshipful Master. He was also an Alice PTA lifetime member. He is survived by his wife Pauline Woodall, two daughters Nancy (Charlie) Grizzle of Fairfield, Texas and Paula (Steven) Curnutte of Kingsville, Texas. He is also survived by three grandsons, Ruston (Kimberly) Dickens and Randall Dickens of Alice and Will (Audra) Curnutte of Carrizo Springs, Texas. Woody's pride and joy were his three great-grandchildren, Weston Curnutte of Carrizo Springs, Texas and Lilly (who he shared his birthday with) and Violet Dickens of Alice, Texas. He is also survived by one sister, Eva (Ken) Zimmer of Malakoff, Texas and brother- in-law Ben (Theresa) Franklin of Frisco, Texas, and his Yorkie Holly, plus numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Alice. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at West Main Baptist Church with his son-in-law Pastor Steven Curnutte officiating. Graveside services will follow at Roselawn Cemetery with Bro.
