Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Lera (Casey) Wren Lera Casey Wren, 77, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at her home in Fairfield, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 17, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Fairfield. Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, January 18, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Fairfield. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery. Lera was born Young, Texas, to the late Tolbert and Velma Hughes Casey, the third of six children. She attended school in Fairfield and graduated from Cosmetology School in Waco. Lera and Billy George Wren were married on August 11, 1951. They resided in Waco for a number of years, then moved to Fairfield in 1971. Lera was a homemaker and excellent seamstress. Her most enjoyable time was being a mother and grandmother, always ready to take time for a unique adventure with her children and grandchildren. They attended church at Fairfield Harmony Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Douglas Wren; a granddaughter, Naline Wren; brothers, Billy Roy Casey, Tolbert (Bubba) Casey, Jr.; sister, Linda Casey Hull; and parents-in-law, Elvis and Rica Wren. She is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, David Wren and his wife, Rebecca, and Joe Wren and his wife, Sara; daughter, Michelle Wren Smith and her husband, Michael, of China Spring; grandchildren, Danny Wren and wife, Kelly, Michael Wren and wife, Trisha, Tabitha Wren Alpine and husband, Matt Randolph, Trudee Wren, Kristen Wren, Matthew Smith and Makayla Smith; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Wren, Ivy Wren, and Memphis Wren; sister, Barbara Sartor and husband, Terry, of Teague; brother, Donald Casey and wife, Sue, of Fairfield; brother-in-law, Elvis Wren Jr. and wife, Ann, of Groves, Texas; sisters-in-law, Jean Casey, of Fairfield, and Charlcie Casey, of Buffalo; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
