Mexia Daily News - Jan. 28, 2004 edition J. B. Wright TEAGUE - Funeral services for J. B. (Brother Wright) Wright, 93, of Teague, will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock in Grove Island A.M.E. Church. The Reverends L.B. Perry and Roger Hunter will officiate. Burial will be in Grove Island Cemetery, under direction of Moore's Angelic Funeral Home. Mr. Wright, a member of Titus Chapel United Methodist Church of Teague, was a lifelong resident of Freestone County, and was a retired employee of Teague Brick & Tile. Honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, he served in World War II, and was born in Freestone County on July 9, 1910. Mr. Wright died Sunday in the Veterans Hospital at Temple. Surviving are two daughters, Inez Haynes of Teague and Sereatha Ann Mayson of Spring; three grandchildren - Oratha Rae Jackson and husband Ron of Paris, Tx., Kella Lynette Small and husband Gregory of Teague, and Tami M. Small of Teague; eight great-grandchildren - Chris and wife Lequita, Jeremie, Dameion, Brandi, Aneshia, Jason, J.J. and J.B.; three great-great-grandchildren - Deandra, Christian and Megan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Lewis Randle, Jimmy Abram, Charles Johnson, Eugene Carter, Terrance Kerven and John McLory.
