Mexia Daily News - Feb. 14, 2004 edition Phara Earl Wright Mrs. Phara Earl Wright, 96, longtime resident of Point Enterprise, died Friday at her residence. Born in Freestone County on April 6, 1907, Mrs. Wright was a member of the Point Enterprise First Baptist Church and was retired from the Foster Grandparent program at Mexia State School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dowie Wright; by a son, Donald Wright, and by two daughters, Patsy Huckaby and Wanda Lamb. Family visitation is scheduled for this evening from 6 until 8 o'clock in Porter Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Wright are scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in First Baptist Church of Point Enterprise. Officiating will be the Rev. James Herrington. Burial will be in Point Enterprise Cemetery, under direction of Porter Funeral Home. Surviving are a son, Harold M. (Bud) Wright of Point Enterprise; a daughter, Weita Martin of Point Enterprise; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Wright of Point Enterprise; two brothers, Glen Beene of Lake of The Pines, and Doyle Beene of Lorena; two sisters, Eunice Powell of Mexia and Louise Jones of Dallas; her caretaker, May Thomas; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Scotty Wadle, Kelly Martin, Barry Martin, David Lamb, Mike Lamb, William Chappell, Danny Wright and Mike Wright.
