Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Obituary of Margaret M "Maggie" Carter Yarbro ( Jul. 21, 1872- Oct. 22, 1910; buried at Carter Family Cemetery ) Fairfield Recorder - Dec. 23, 1910 In Memory of Mrs. Maggie Carter Yarbro The very name is precious, and calls up sweet thoughts of the dear one who is gone. Yes, she is gone, and, oh, how we miss her; her bright, cheerful smile; the comfort of being near her; just to know that she was with us, and that she was ours. And now, the loneliness, the bewildering wonder, the bitter pain, that Maggie is gone; Maggie, whom we all loved. O! the anguish, the heartache. We needed her so. The dear little daughter, the sorrowing husband, and the heartbroken mother, whose "bonnie barin" (sic) she was - we all needed her. We find ourselves thinking of Maggie, and our hearts are filled with love and tenderness. Then we remember, "she is not here," and the heartache of the thought blinds us with bitter tears; and we long in vain for her dear face, to hear her precious voice. We cannot realize that she is no more for us, that she is indeed gone, gone where there is no sorrow, pain nor care. The only comfort we know is, that "God's ways are always right," and that tho' our hearts are sore and sad, "He knows how to bind and heal the broken heart." A FRIEND
