Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Teague Chronicle December 14, 2006 JAMES "SONNY" YIELDING Funeral services for Mr. James "Sonny" Yielding, age 67, were held on Sunday, December 10, 2006, at Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Teague, Texas. Bro. Darrel Beggs officiated with interment following the service at Union Cemetery in Freestone County. Mr. Yielding was born on June 11, 1939, at Houston and passed away on December 8, 2006, at his residence in Teague. He was a life long resident of Teague, member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. He served on the USS Montrose in the South Pacific while in the United States Navy . He was a carpenter by trade and loved to fish. He is survived by his sisters Bobbie Thompson of Jewett, Patricia Maynord and husband David of Arkansas and Alicia Regier and husband Gary of Georgetown and his brother Kenneth Yielding and wife Lavelle of Deer Park. Numerous nieces and nephews, Barbara Bass of Mart, William Thompson of Pittsburg, Diane Marcum of Ft. Worth, Kimberly Laird of Ft. Worth, Rebecca Lilley of Conroe, Richard Yielding of Arkansas, Rodney Lyons of Dallas, Lynda Lyons of La Porte, Tommy Lyons of South Houston, Laura Ethridge of La Porte, Andy Lyons of Deer Park, Lance Regier of Round Rock, Matthew Regier of Georgetown and Benjamin Regier of Round Rock, other relatives and friends also survive Mr. Yielding. Mr. Yielding was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law William (Bill) Thompson.
