Corsicana —  Adron “Dwain” York, 84, of Streetman passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 
2012. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at Griffin-Roughton 
Funeral Home Fairfield. Service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Griffin-
Roughton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery.

Obituary for Adron "Dwain" York - Fairfield
Adron "Dwain" York, resident of Winkler Community, passed away at his residence 
on Wednesday evening, November 21, 2012 at the age of 84. He was born December 8, 
1927 to Reuben and Mary Catherine York in Fairfield. 

He is survived by wife Barbara of Streetman; daughters Djuana Pierce and husband 
Bryan of Fairfield, Jennifer Granberry of Fairfield and Carol Bradley of 
Fairfield; grandchildren Coy Reuben Pierce and Jenna Cathryn Pierce, both of 
Fairfield; sisters Kathryn Alford of Fairfield, Jackie McCormick and husband 
John of Colmesneil; brother William York of Garland; sister-in-law Patsy York of 
League City; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Mary Catherine York, and 
brother Harry York.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Griffin-Roughton 
Funeral Home in Fairfield. Service 3 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Griffin-
Roughton Funeral Home Chapel in Fairfield with Rev. Thomas Q. Robins officiating. 
Masonic graveside service to follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will 
be Mitch York, Jason McCormick, Coy Pierce, Jake Alford, Huter Alford and Glen 
Boyd.
