J. A. (Jimbo) Young

J. A. (Jimbo) Young of Streetman, Texas passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2003.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003 at 11 a.m. at First
Baptist Church in Streetman with Bro. Wayne Mahoney officiating. Burial will
follow at Cade Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Monday Oct. 13, 2003 from 6 to 8 p.m. at
Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mr. Young was a longtime resident of Streetman. He was born Nov. 21, 1911 in
Youngs Mill Community in Freestone County to James Ella and Nora Teer Young.

Paternal grandparents were Dr. Tolbert Fannin and Margaret Hill Young (founder
of Youngs Mill Community). Maternal grandparents were Jim and Cynthia Ann Teer
of Freestone County.

His beloved wife, Ann Ross Oneal Young, preceded him in death in 1994, as did
his brothers, Forest Fannin Young, Fred Hill Young and sisters Margaret Ann
(Maggie) Young Cole and Ora Katherine Young Parker.

Mr. Young was a lifetime cattle rancher and a member of the First Baptist
Church in Streetman.

Survivors include his son Jimmie Ross Young and wife Ann York Young of
Streetman. Sister Nora (Baby Nora) Young Norman of DeSoto, Texas and loved by
and missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers are Billy Coker, Jimmy Miller, Jim Lane, Randy Turner, Danny
Richardson, Wiley Garrett, T.E. Smith and J.R. Wagner.
