Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle October 11, 2007 edition JACKSON DAVID YOUNG, JR. Mr. Jackson David Young, Jr., 47, died Monday, September 24, 2007, at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Mr. Young was born in Georgetown, South Carolina on March 27, 1960, a son of Joanne Port Young and the late Jackson David Young. He grew up in Teague, Texas and graduated from Teague High School in 1978. He also lived in Buffalo, Texas. Mr. Young attended Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas. He was a former co-owner of Young Electrical in Texas and J&J Contracting, Inc. in South Carolina. He lived in Pawley Island for a number of years, where he was a member of Pawley Island Lodge #409, Ancient FreeMasons. He was a talented musician and recorded several records. Mr. Young was a Baptist. In addition to his father, Mr. Young was predeceased by his sister Kimberly Ellen Young. Surviving Mr. Young is his mother JoAnne Young of Marion, North Carolina, his sons and their mother, Jackson David “Trey” Young, III and his wife Kristen and Matthew Martin and wife Deanna both of College Station, Texas; Kelly Calvin Young, Nathanael Young and Kelly Young all of Buffalo, Texas; his brother Jeffrey Young of Marion, North Carolina, his nephew Collin Young of Marion, North Carolina; and his grandchild Chloe Young of College Station, Texas. Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon, September 27, 2007, at Screven Baptist Church in Georgetown, South Carolina. The Rev. R. Wayne Ellis conducted the services. Burial with Masonic Rites followed at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown, South Carolina.
