Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder December 03, 2007 Bonnie R. (Abbott) Zaretki Mrs. Bonnie R. Zaretki, 55, of Teague, died Saturday at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco after a long battle with cancer. Born June 4, 1952 in Kalamazoo, Mich., Mrs. Zaretki was the oldest of four children born to Davis and May Abbott. She and her husband, Carl, moved to Colleyville, Texas in 1982 and then relocated to rural Teague in 1993 after her husband’s retirement. Prior to the onset of her illness, Mrs. Zaretki was active in several area quilting groups and served as Queen of the Peaches of Freestone County Red Hat Society in Fairfield. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Zaretki is survived by her husband Carl of Teague, daughter Teresa Lewandowski of Lake Orion, Mich., her mother and her husband May and Jim Preussel of Harlingen, father Davis Abbott, sister Laurie Hoover of Columbus, Ind., and brothers Terry Abbott of Columbus, Ind., and Joe Abbott of Indianapolis, Ind.
