This is the courthouse square in Fairfield, TX. of the Freestone County Courthouse 
in 1972.

Near the curb dividing the parking lot from the courthouse's lawn is a telephone 
pole and two small payphones, all sitting in the left half of the image. 
On the opposite side of the lawn is a white flag pole and a small cannon (the Val 
Verde cannon).
In the background on the left is "Piggly Wiggly" and a laudromat.  On the right
background are some white buildings.
