Freestone County, Texas Schools in the News 1885 Fairfield Recorder - November 6, 1885 [The college is the Fairfield College] SCHOOL ENTERTAINMENT On last Friday evening an entertainment was given at the College by the Music Class and the classes in Eloculation. The exercises consisted of the regular class drill and recitations in eloculation, and select pieces of music. The renditions were well received by the large audience that had assembled to witness them. The students all did well, doing credit alike to themselves and their instructors, Miss Davis in eloculation, and Miss Eades in music. Prof. Melton announced that hereafter he would give similar entertainments at the end of each month.
