  Miss Mattie Watson, of Mexia, who taught the intermediate department in the 
school here, left for her home last Monday, school being out. Miss Mattie was a
splendid teacher, and gave good satisfaction to all her patrons.

  Miss McBryde requests the RECORDER to state that she will open her private 
school at the College building next Monday.  All expecting to attend are requested
to be present the first day.
