Freestone County, Texas Social Birdston Masonic Lodge A. F. & A.M. #333 (1871-1975) (1884 moved to Cade, 1913 moved to Streetman) Located in Streetman, Texas The Lodge was originally located 2.5 miles east of Streetman in the Birdston community in Navarro County in upper part of the two story home owned by J.D. Clark. In 1883, Ansel Coleman of Cade donated land for a church, cemetery and lodge. In 1884, the Birdston Lodge received permission to move to Cade in Freestone County, building a two story building there. Many of the residents of Birdston moved to Cade when the railroad came through the county. There the lodge remained until 1913 when it moved to Streetman first locating in the upper story of the Simmons Dry Goods Store in downtown Streetman until a fire in January 1934. In 1935, the Lodge was meeting in the Woodman Building in the business section of Streetman. Later, the Lodge bought the old J.B. Cole Store until its demise in December 1975.
