Club supports college bound students CURRENT MEMBERS OF the Leatha Parker Scholarship Fund Committee are: front l-r, Doris Casey and Dianne Murden; back l-r, Donna Landers, Raz Cook and Tracie Ezell. The Leatha Parker Memorial Scholarship was established in 1956 in honor of one of the club’s most respected members. First awards, of $100 each, went to Donald Blount and Margaret Ann Ivy. This year, the club awarded three scholarships of $1,000 each to FHS seniors Kayse Kirgan, John Horton and Lilly Duarte. Over the past 54 years, 140 students have received Leatha Parker Memorial awards totaling $60,000. The scholarship is the oldest of its kind in Fairfield.
