"CORNERSTONE LEVELLED - Members of the Fairfield Masonic Lodge, the Grand Lodge
of Texas and other area lodges met in Fairfield Saturday afternoon for 
ceremonies to level the cornerstone of the new Freestone County Jail.  
Participating in the ceremonies were those pictured above, left to right,
Robert Bayless of Mexia, District Deputy Grand Master, Masonic District No. 22;
Forrest Wood, Fairfield; Duncan Howard of Waco, Past Grand Master, Grand Lodge
of Texas who led the ceremonies; Marvin Watson Jr., W. M. of Fairfield Lodge;
J. R. Sessions Jr., Past District Deputy Grand Master, of Kirvin; Jack
Daughtery, Fairfield; Edd Bonner, Fairfield, Past District Deputy Grand Master;
Rex Goolsby, former County Judge, Freestone County, Teague; and Herb Hudson,
Past District Deputy Grand Master, of Teague.  A large crowd was on hand for 
the ceremonies including Masonns from over this area of the state.
